Hello.

I'm looking for a tool to monitor and scale Azure deployments. Key aspects of the monitoring and scaling are:

Must Have
Overall health of selected deployments across multiple Azure subscriptions
Role and instance performance metrics of selected deployments across multiple Azure subscriptions
Monitoring Trace Logs (WADLogTable) - Azure Tables
Monitoring Windows Event Logs (WADWindowsEventLogsTable) - Azure Tables
Dynamic Scaling (up and down)
Alerting on specific events - performance metrics and events messages (Trace or Windows Events)

Nice to Have
Monitoring of Windows Azure PaaS offerings (Azure Queues / Service Queues)
Monitoring Windows Azure SQL
IIS Logs (wad-iis-logfiles) - Azure BLOBS
IIS Failed Request Logs (wad-iis-failedreqlogfiles) - Azure BLOBS
Time based / scheduled Scaling (up and down)

Would you be so kind to inform us which aspects we can cover with this technology?

Very nice article/project. I'm a career switcher and new to development. So I am wondering if you would do anything differently (or would need to do anything differently) if you were developing this multi-tenant application today ?

Hello Every one !

First of all thank you so much for providing such a useful product for measuring Tenant level , Database level and various other metering aspects. It certaingly a great help for all developers.

I was trying to run this project , but getting error like "The type or namespace name 'WindowsAzure' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft' (are you missing an assembly reference?)" I know its really a small error which can be resolved by adding Microsoft.WindowsAzure.StorageClient and other required DLLs .But unfortunately even doing that with latest version , i m not able to resolve the problem.

I checked .Net Framework version whether it is .Net framework 4.0 client profile but it was also fine.

Please let me know how i can resolve this problem or m i missing something? Its kinda urgent.. Thanks!

Did you get any further with this ? I've done a code review of this example and learn't a lot but cannot get it to run correctly locally.

I'm currently stuck on this exception when firing up the UserManagement.svc :

Parser Error Message: ID1024: The configuration property value is not valid.Property name: 'certificateReference'Error: 'ID1025: Cannot find a unique certificate that matches the criteria.StoreName: 'My'StoreLocation: 'LocalMachine'X509FindType: 'FindByThumbprint'FindValue: 'ABAB387824EBDA7775115318032C4D2EF96BF625''

Hi,

The User Management is pointing to some other URL which doesn't exist. So, pl. host the UserManagement and then remove the service reference and re-attach this new hosted reference, will work, however will stop at the error "Provisioning Status", which doesn't move further at all.... See my pervious discussion thread, as i have put the question 4 days back, however no answer for the same.

I m trying to run cloud ninja project in my local machine. In CloudNinja.Cloud.Web web site one web service would be refereed but when try to call service method it give error.

So tell me how to solve this error?

Also, it's showing the status in TenantIdMaster table with the field/property "Status" as "hold". Any issues you can foresee as i am not able to proceed further with this sample application.

Hi guys, I have setup the multitenant cloudninja sample applciation locally and struck with the message "Provisioning statu". As per the documentation, it is suppose to give registered tenant url which is not showing.

I could see the entries in the local db with Tenant table. Also, not sure any further configuration which i am missing as there is no much documentation is available for the same.

Any pointer/help towards to this at the earliest would be great help...

I like a lot the system, and thank a lot the effort that it has needed.

I'm trying to test it locally with the emulator, but i am not sure it would be possible.

Please, can someone confirm me that it is possible and give some directions.

I downloaded this V3 Source multiple times - but, get a Invalid .zip file each tmie I tried opening.

Is it just me, or do others have a similar problem?

Can anyone tell me what should the values of the parameters "SystemConnectionString","Demokey" and other parameters whose value is not mentioned in the Cloudninja source code be like??

I have downloaded the CloudNinja 2.0 and installed Windows Azure SDK 1.4 on my machine (which is used by CloudNinja 2.0). When I try to build the solution, I am getting the below error:

'Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.DataCacheSecurity' does not contain a constructor that takes 1 arguments.

Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.Core.dll properties window show the version as below:

Runtime Version: v2.0.50727, Version: 1.0.0.0
